My friend's wife developed this thing for bearded irises. Three years ago I posted here some pictures from her collection. (These are now in the two bottom rows of the page.)
This May she's got more than a thousand varieties, a few thousand plants, blooming in her garden in Laurel, MD. I was there, too.
